Our Story
Turks & Caicos Sotheby's International Realty's principals and agents, many of whom have roots dating further back in the Turks & Caicos Islands, have established a leading track record of success in helping investors navigate the Turks & Caicos real estate market and finding income-producing investments, primary and vacation homes for hundreds of satisfied clients.
The current Turks & Caicos Sotheby's International Realty traces its roots to Turks & Caicos Realty, which began operations at the beginning of 1990, with Karen Biker as the on island manager and only real estate agent at that time. It then developed to become a leader in selling some of the most sensational homes and villas in Turks & Caicos, and made its mark in the luxury home real estate market. In 2005, Karen Biker along with partner Buddy Rego purchased the Sotheby's International Realty franchise to solidify their position in the luxury real estate marketplace.
In parallel, Connolly Zahm Properties Ltd., established in 1998, emerged from Joe Zahm's pioneering efforts as the first resort condominium Sales and General Manager on Grace Bay in 1989 into a leading luxury real estate brokerage and consulting firm in Turks & Caicos, specializing in high end beachfront and waterfront condominiums. Over the past several years, Joe and his highly trained professional team of brokers and real estate agents have been instrumental in guiding major developments, as well as buyers, sellers and investors in achieving their real estate goals.
In June of 2009, Connolly Zahm Properties merged with Turks and Caicos Sotheby's International Realty to form a new force in the real estate industry. With Zahm at the helm, the firm is built on its years of experience and reputation for superior real estate agents, client service, and leverages the global reach and brand of Sotheby's International Realty to deliver a new level of service and professionalism to developers, investors and home buyers in Turks & Caicos Islands.
In January of 2013, our sales force was further enhanced with our merger with Richard Sankar's team of Tropical Paradise Realty, a firm with a solid background in real estate development, commercial and residential sales.
Turks and Caicos Sotheby's International Realty is Turks and Caicos' most dynamic luxury real estate brand holding the dominant market share position in the expanding TCI luxury condominium sector for the past several years, as well as a dominant market share in villa, home and land sales.
Our Office
Our signature flagship office, designed by SWA, is ideally located at Venture House on the corner of Grace Bay Road and Ventura Avenue. The stunning, modern Bermudian-style building features a welcoming reception with 20' high vaulted ceiling and multiple conference rooms. Turks & Caicos Sotheby's International Realty also maintains on-site offices at the acclaimed Grace Bay Club, and Seven Stars resorts ensuring maximum exposure to qualified purchasers.
