The residence was constructed in 2010 on the highest hill in the Blue Horizon Community. The hill appears on maps as "King Hill" and is 82 feet high. It overlooks Mudjin Harbour which is the most photographed location in the Turks & Caicos. The surrounding ocean is a kaleidoscope of blue colors which are constantly changing. The view down the coast of cliffs and deserted beaches is spectacular. During January through April, humpback whales can be seen just offshore as they migrate to and from the "Silverbanks". The developer of Blue Horizon Resort designed and constructed this 3 bed, 3.5 bath, 4,000 square foot home and garage/workshop on 7.52 acres of land based on his engineering background and 20 years of experience on Middle Caicos. The foundation sits on solid rock and the walls are 8 inch thick concrete. All the beams and columns were poured with 5,000 psi high strength ready mix imported from Florida. The upper floor joists are steel open trusses with hot dipped galvanized treatment and sprayed with epoxy coating. All of the windows are vinyl double pane hurricane resistant designs. The house has withstood 140 mph winds without damage. King Hill is two stories with the living room, dining area and kitchen on the first floor. Adjacent to this are the two guest suites and screened in porch. Each of these suites has its own entrances to the South deck. The second story comprises of the master bedroom, exercise area, spa, office and master bath with the most picturesque views of Mudjin Harbor. Plans have also been approved for an additional two story guest cottage.
